new character contact page
new character contact
Here at Save Atlantis, we do require contacting all castmates and alternates before holding. In order to make this a little easier and less overwhelming, especially for our new players who might be interested in picking someone up, we have devised this page as a means to contact for plotting purposes and to make sure everyone is all good with things.
It is your responsibility as a player or holder to track this page.
Players will comment (with character name and fandom in the subject line, please) with who they would like to play and some kind of contact info, whether it's an email address or contact post link. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO HOLD YET FOR ANY REASON (hiatus, recent drop, new material/spoiler rule), please DO NOT do your contact here or by other means sooner than 48 hours before you would be allowed to hold the character.
If you are on hiatus until the 27th, you can do your contact comment/etc on the 25th, but NOT before then.Additionally, you will have ONE WEEK from your initial comment to place an official hold. If more than a week has passed, you will need to repeat the contact process over again to make sure you still have castmate approval.
This is not an official hold. Holds are still first come, first served. Asking on this page or elsewhere DOES NOT RESERVE THE CHARACTER it is simply a tool to make contacting other castmates easier. The character will not be held for you until the official hold is placed.
Existing players (and those with existing holds) will then have 48 hours respond. If you as a current player for some reason are not comfortable with a hold please email the mods at firstname.lastname@example.org to voice it.
PLEASE NOTE that if you are objecting to a potential hold, you MUST be willing to give us a concrete reason. We aren't going to pick and choose what reasons are acceptable, but we do ask that you be willing to tell us why you don't want a particular character in the game.
Once the 48 hours have passed or you have gotten a response from all current castmates, you are clear to hold.
New and existing players are equally welcome to use this page, especially for larger fandoms where sending a huge mass email gets kind of daunting!
LARGE FANDOMS - In the case of large fandoms with more than one show or fandoms that involve multiple mediums, etc, you only need permission from characters who have interacted with yours in canon. For example, Cami O'Connell from The Originals wouldn't have to get permission from TVD only cast since they wouldn't even know who she was, but Klaus/Kol/etc would need TVD cast permission since they started in TVD.
villain - If you're interested in applying for a villain we're going to ask you to also fill out the castmate form to make sure everyone in the game is okay with it! We want to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable and enjoys themselves while playing at Save Atlantis! If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to email us at email@example.com.
Characters we've had current players express objections to having in the game (and who therefore are unlikely to be approved here) are
